Taking Nesting to a New Level
A couple nights ago I was reading my What To Expect When You're Expecting book. There was a section about nesting instincts. Luckily I had already completed my project when I read it because it said to use common sense when it comes to getting things ready. It specifically said to resist the urge to paint the baby's nursery. Oops. My husband told me the same thing but I couldn't be stopped. Once we had his room done, the bathroom looked so...neglected. So I couldn't leave it. There was extra blue paint from the mural wall so I started taping, and taping, and taping and finally got it all painted. It looks much better now.
This is the frame that my students all signed during my shower. It will be nice to replace the picture with his real picture once he arrives.

36 Week Update and Pictures
So this is what 9 months pregnant feels like! I can't complain. I know that taking care of him in four weeks is going to be much more difficult than taking care of him now. Just four short weeks to go with this little guy on the inside.
36 Week Survey
How Far Along: 36 weeks and 5 days
Total Weight Gain: 22 pounds
Sleep: I've just started to have trouble sleeping. I'm not uncomfortable really, (I've gotten used to sleeping with the body pillow wedged next to me) I just wake up and can't go back to sleep.
Food Cravings: I am finding myself wanting salty and sweet in the same sitting. Bad News. Might explain the double weight gain at last week's appointment. Oops.
Movement: He likes to stretch out when Bryan gets home. He's peaceful all day and dances all night.
Gender: Still Boy...I hope
Labor Signs: I don't really feel anything different but I am 1 cm dilated, 25% effaced, and -1 station
Belly Button In or Out: Flat
What I Miss: I have to admit I am ready for a beer.
What I am Looking Forward To: My parents are coming on June 30th. I hope he comes right after that!
And here are some pictures. The face is getting puffy. Ick.

Cubs
Friday was my first official day of Summer and we had tickets to the Cubs/ Cardinals game with Adam and Nicole, some friends from college. It was great to see them because we are going to miss their wedding on June 26th. They are the last couple from our college group to get married so we are sad to miss the big reunion. It was great to see them this weekend.
We had some train trouble and ended up in a rickshaw to get to the stadium. It was funny and much better than walking a mile. This is the nice guy who gave us a ride...for a tip of course.
Bryan was playing with the camera again. The ball is right on the first base line.

The boys watched the game but I mostly froze and ate nachos. Our seats were in the shade and it was really windy. Brrr. It was so sunny outside the stadium though.
Nicole, Adam, Me and Bryan
Dick and Sharon were in town visiting so Bryan took his dad to the Fire/ AC Milan soccer game with Sharon and I went to a movie.
Those crazy soccer fans always have something going on in the super fan section. Flares are so much fun!
It was great to visit and we got some house stuff done too. Thanks for the towel bar installation and the mulch application and bed edging!!!! It was all much needed.
We now have no more weekend plans, except for a 3 hour breastfeeding class, until Jackson arrives! It's so weird that he is the next event on our calendar!
